Dialogue

Sustainability

At Dialogue, everything centres on pushing boundaries in energy performance and CO₂ reduction.

At Dialogue, everything centres on pushing boundaries in energy performance and CO₂ reduction. The design and technical systems meet the Nearly Energy Neutral Building standard (BENG), and we aim for an energy performance at least 12 per cent below the legal requirement. This means lower energy use and a significantly reduced carbon footprint. With smart solutions such as thermal energy storage and solar panels on the roofs, we aim to generate 54 per cent of our total energy demand sustainably. The result is a building that not only meets today’s standards, but is ready for the future.

Circular construction with a mission

Our commitment to sustainability begins with the materials we choose. We deliberately opt for products with a low environmental impact. The building’s Environmental Performance score (MPG) of a maximum of 0.638 stays comfortably below the legal limit of 0.8, which means our environmental footprint is measurably lower.

Smart responses to a changing climate

Climate change demands intelligent solutions. Dialogue is designed to cope with increasingly extreme weather. The roofs and inner courtyard collect and release rainwater in a controlled way, even during heavy downpours of up to 80 millimetres a day. By incorporating extensive greenery on the roofs and in the courtyard, we create a more pleasant microclimate. The surrounding outdoor areas continue this green approach, with trees providing shade and natural cooling. Hard surfaces are kept to a minimum and replaced where possible with permeable materials.

Sustainability in figures

To ensure we actually meet our sustainability ambitions, we use the GPR assessment method. It allows us to measure Dialogue’s performance across energy, environment, health, future value and user quality. Our ambition is an average score of 8, which corresponds to a high sustainability standard.

Dialogue sets a new benchmark for sustainable urban living. Its focus on energy efficiency, circular construction, climate adaptation and nature-inclusive design supports the city’s wider sustainability goals. Every part of the design contributes to a greener future and shows what is possible in contemporary building.
